Get more value from your mobile plan with Data Banking and Data Gifting.
Data Banking allows you to save your unused included data and use it later when it suits you.
Any included data you don’t use during your monthly billing cycle is automatically added to your Data Bank instead of being lost.
For example, if your plan includes 30GB of data each month and you only use 10GB, the remaining 20GB will be added to your Data Bank. When your next month begins, you’ll have your new monthly allowance plus the 20GB stored in your Data Bank available for use.
You can store up to 1000GB of unused included data in your Data Bank on eligible plans.
Data Gifting allows you to share some of your included monthly plan data with another active Care Mobile customer.
You can send data gifts through you customer Online Customer Portal, making it easy to help family or friends when they need extra data.
Data gifts can be made in 1GB, 5GB or 10GB amounts, and you can make multiple gifts throughout the month, provided you remain within the Data Gifting rules.
You can gift up to 50% of your plan’s included monthly data allowance each month.
However, you can never gift more data than you currently have available from your included monthly allowance.
The maximum amount you can gift is the lower of:
You must also have at least 128MB of data remaining after each gift is completed.
On a 30GB plan, the maximum amount that can be gifted each month is 15GB.

✓ Gift 10GB to a family member and later gift another 5GB to a friend (total gifted = 15GB)
✓ Gift 5GB today and another 5GB next week, provided you still have sufficient included data remaining
✗ Gift more data than you have remaining in your included monthly allowance
When a customer receives a data gift, the gifted data is immediately added to their service.
Gifted data is used before the recipient’s included monthly data allowance.
This helps preserve more of their included monthly data for later use.
If the recipient does not use all of their gifted data before their next monthly renewal, any unused gifted data will automatically roll into their Data Bank.
For example, if a customer receives a 10GB gift and only uses 4GB, the remaining 6GB will be added to their Data Bank at the end of the billing cycle.
Once data has been gifted and received, it cannot be transferred or gifted to another customer.
Gifted data can only be used by the recipient.
Only your current month’s included plan data can be gifted.
The following data types cannot be gifted:
Data Banking and Data Gifting are separate features.
Your Data Bank is reserved for your own future use and automatically becomes available when your included monthly data runs low.
Any data stored in your Data Bank cannot be gifted or transferred to another customer.
For example, if you’re on a 30GB plan and have 100GB stored in your Data Bank, your gifting limit is still based only on your current month’s included 30GB allowance. The data stored in your Data Bank is available for your own future use but cannot be gifted to another customer.
It’s easy. Simply log in to the Care Mobile Online Customer Portal and select the Data Gifting option.
Both the sender and recipient will receive a notification confirming that the data gift has been successfully completed.
You can gift data to any active Care Mobile customer on an eligible plan that supports Data Gifting.
